Would Jesse McCartney Date Miley Cyrus?

Jesse McCartney spoke with E! about ‘Hannah Montana’ star Miley Cyrus recently confessing to having a huge crush on the singer, and if he’d date the 15-year-old when she gets a little older. “She needs to be able to drive first before we talk about that,” 21-year-old McCartney said. Jesse also has been impressed with Miley’s recent mainstream radio crossover. “Yeah she’s ripping it up,” McCartney said in response to whether he’s a fan of her music. “I love the first single. I think she surprised all of us of hitting top 40 radio the way she did.” Asked how he’d respond if Miley asked him out, Jesse said, “I’d say, ‘Sure, let’s do this’.” Watch the interview below.

Jesse McCartney Defends Miley Cyrus!

Teeny bopper Jesse McCartney has become the latest star to defend Miley Cyrus over her controversial Vanity Fair photo shoot, WENN reports.

When the 15-year-old daddy’s girl and star of Disney’s Hannah Montana posed for the magazine the photos were deemed too sexy for a teenager by some. The June issue of Vanity Fair featured Cyrus wrapped in a bed sheet and nothing but, which threatened her wholesome reputation.

However many fellow stars, such as McCartney, do not understand what all the fuss is about. “It sucks man. Everything about Miley was so sensationalized. I really feel for her you know,” defends McCartney.

The “Beautiful Soul” crooner feels that the photos were not only innocent, but also aesthetically pleasing. “I think that people are nuts. I didn’t find any of the photos offensive in Vanity Fair. I thought they were artistic if anything,” opines the star.

Miley Cyrus' dad, Billy Ray, is reportedly warning Jesse McCartney to stay away from his superstar daughter.

"There's been serious flirting between Jesse and Miley for a while, but Billy Ray won't let them date," a Cyrus family insider tells America's Star magazine. "It's driving them crazy!"

Billy's main concert is the age gap between the pair. Miley's 15; Jesse is 21. "And Jesse also thinks the fact that he's been known to date a lot of young girls in Hollywood has gone against him with Miley’s dad," the source said.

"Jesse's told Billy Ray that he's willing to start out by having a chaperone of his choice around," the pal adds. "But that's not good enough for Billy Ray."

Jesse -- who wrote British singer Leona Lewis' smash hit single Bleeding Love -- has been romantically linked to Aubrey O'Day and Hilary Duff.

Jesse and Miley met when McCartney played himself on Cyrus' smash hit Disney show, Hannah Montana, two years ago; and the pair have stayed close ever since, despite Billy Ray’s disapproval.

The source added, "They're on the phone to each other all the time, and they text each other.

"They tell each other how crazy they are for each other. And how frustrating it is that they're being kept apart!"
